Pointe Coupee Bed & Breakfast gently rests in the Historic District downtown only moments from churches,
governmental offices & the beautiful False River & River Walk that offers dining & shopping.  The  lake is
a haven for many water sports and the peaceful sunsets are unforgettable!

This part of French Louisiana has a rich history dating back to the late 1600's.   You can be assured that the
sights, sounds and cuisine in the largest pocket of Creole architecture in Louisiana will delight all your senses.

"INN HISTORY"
New Roads, a historic lakefront community set on the banks of False River, is a charming Louisiana town rich
in French heritage. The mighty Mississippi changed its course in 1722, creating a unique oxbow lake which the
French named "Fausse Riviere" or False river.

Our parish was named the place of the cut-off, hence the name Pointe Coupee, also credited to the French.
Early trappers & traders traveled the "Chemin Neuf" of the New Roads - we hope you will, too!
